Last week, the 1BeM Kuma Ambassadors shared a wonderful presentation of their experiences in Cambodia. Rina, Sam and Apple created a slideshow of images and videos and talked the rest of the class through them in great detail. They not only shared all the exciting happenings from their trip but, more importantly, talked about how the experience made them feel and how they want to continue to help and support their buddies and the Kuma School. Well done, Ambassadors! We are proud of you.
Tuesday's Swim Gala was a huge success. Thank you to all the parents who came along to support the children and cheer them on in all their fun races. As with The Sleepover, we took a lot of photos and there are some wonderful action shots here. Thanks again to the P.E. team for organising the event.
Last Monday, we visited Happy Lodge for the last time. To make sure the relationship continues after we move over the bridge, we invited the K2 children to come with us so that we could "show them the ropes." We introduced them to our Happy Lodge friends and they joined in the activities in the resident's rooms. Together, we created the light and dark pictures that look so effective in our classroom and stuck them on the windows in the resident's rooms where they look equally impressive! It was a lovely way to end a great year of visits. Thanks to all the parents who came along and we hope you enjoyed the time you have spent at Happy Lodge this year.
As we head into our final full week in the Infants, we are putting the finishing touches to all our units. With "Light and Sound," we have been busy recording our observations and investigations in relation to two statements, namely "Light can bend" and "Sounds make vibrations." In each instance, we have been invited to state whether or not we agree with these theories and, working with a partner, designing experiments to prove or disprove them and explaining our thinking in pictures and words.
